The largest things on the poster are Madonna's face and Madonna's name. This clears up who's advertising, makes it very clear that this is Madonna's music. The style of the poster is quite eye-catching, the contrasting colours drawing in eyes to read the top two banners and then drift to look down her face to the CD details. It has a pop art design to it and based on that people who enjoy pop might decide to listen to the music or buy the CD. The placement of the poster is in an underground tube station judging by the size and the titles behind the poster. This is a busy area where lots of people will walk by and see it, therefore increasing the advertisement and chance of selling more CD's.
Looking at real music posters will help when creating our own music poster advertisement as we will be able to draw ideas and techniques from something we know that works. This will hopefully mean that our poster will attract an audience and do its job in advertising our video.
