Lip Syncing

Lip syncing is what can make or break a video. Done well with proper casting you can make anyone look like they are singing the song, which is an extremely useful tool for music videos with actors in place of the actual singers. However, should you cast someone who does not look the part, or is just bad at lip syncing then the video will not look as good or be as professional.

Below are two examples of good lip syncing. The young boy shows a wide array of songs that he can lip sync to, varying genres and speed of song. The next video shows three men doing a very similar thing. Both show that learning the lyrics and knowing what comes next makes it easier for them to pretend to sing and gives them the ability to put on performance as well as just remembering to move their lips in time with the song.
