Ideas for Digipack and Poster Advertisment

I created three digipack designs and two poster advertisement designs. These designs needed to be the right look for our band, as a group we decided the simple designs would be better for our genre of music.

I decided to try and incorporate both the band name and elements from the music video in my first design, using one of the dogs from the narrative in the video and then having the blue sky for the band name In Blue Skies.

 I used the same image for both digi-pack and poster because if we had posters of something that looked completely different from the product we want people to buy then the audience would have a harder time finding it in shops. We want them to be able to find it easily and know what they are looking for so that it's easier for them to buy it. This is the same for each of my designs, the poster and digi-pack will look very, very similar. The poster however will have more information along the bottom such as the band's website or facebook page, release date of the single etc etc.

The last design is more an example of what we could do. I was unable to get our actors for the shoot, which would have been more ideal, but the idea of having our two actors walking away with the dogs is still there, instead of using our actors I used another group member. If we decide to use this design we would have to go out and photograph the actual actors.
